Motorist are warned about breakdown cover reduction

It has been revealed that many motorists taking out car insurance policies are not adding breakdown cover and Motor Legal Protection to their policy in an attempt to try and save money due to the current recession.
A report from Ibuyeco has found that a large majority of drivers have reduced their premiums this way over the last year.
It can cost motorists on average around £277 to tow a broken down vehicle home to its residence. As you can see this is very expensive and shows the need to take out breakdown cover for peace of mind assistance if your car was to breakdown.
Cutting back on breakdown cover can be a false economy as it could cost you more in the long run if you did need roadside breakdown cover.
