Drivers approve of new insurance law changes says AA

AA breakdown is supporting changes to the law that will help keep uninsured vehicles seen as a mooring offence.
Motorist who own a vehicle that does not have the correct insurance documents and cover will be considered a Statutory Off Road Notification and be deemed as a criminal offence was approved by around 69% of the AA’s members, a survey revealed.
Drivers who where in the 18-24 age group category was least supportive of the proposal as only 25% of them agreed.
The police do currently have powers to take away any vehicle that does not have proper insurance documentation.
The new legislation that is to be proposed will also offers powers to the police to give penalties to vehicles that are even on private land.
